Last night, one nation,

under the influence

celebrated its greatness in excess

a nation of apathy,

fear, and intolerance

put last year behind them.

lacking of hope, a year of shame

lacking of valor, a year of villainy

lacking of justice, a year of ignorance

as we rise up from the floor

shall we be the change?

nah, let’s just drink some more.
